Coventry Green

Coventry Green, an eight-voice vocal ensemble, orginated in 1975 as a quartet performing at Christmas, then quickly expanded to eight voices with performances throughout the year. The ensemble, based in southwestern Ohio, disbanded in 2005. It specialized in the demanding but rewarding art of a cappella performance. The group's repertoire included a wide variety of vocal genres, including sacred choral music, folk songs, madrigals, spirituals and contemporary music.

Coventry Green issued three recordings - Coventry Carols, a collection of familiar and unusual songs for the Christmas season; Between Meals, a sampling of secular music spanning five centuries (the CD is titled in playful homage to the group's favorite pasttime, next to singing), and A Sacred Feast, which features sacred music. A limited number of these recordings are still available. If you are interested in purchasing one (or more!) of these recordings, please click here to contact our sales representative. Compact discs are $15.00, and cassette tapes are $8.00 (shipping and handling included).
